This Richard Ford writes non-fiction, although I have written two works of historical fiction (A Girl Named Alabama, and Commanche Warriors and Butterflies). To the incalculable numbers of people who were witness to God’s staggering power, which brought on the Great Flood and the Last Glacial Maximum—the same event—and lost their lives.

Introduction

Much that follows is written plainly and matter-of-factly so that the reader can readily grasp the meaning. However, I well understand that many, many questions will arise. This is completely understandable, but the underlying proof of my words lies in five books that I have published, but have expended almost no effort to sell. Each of them is technical in presentation, and if you are not proficient in basic mathematics and geometry, you may struggle, although with persistence you can get through it. I have tried to make each presentation as clear as possible, but there is no other way to make my argument except through the mediums the Egyptians themselves used — mathematics and geometry. That said, the first book, Lord of Eternity, is wrapped in a storyline that can be followed without difficulty, while skipping the technical matters covered. For the scientifically oriented reader, even you may struggle with these books, unless you are well-versed in mathematics and geometry, when matters of astronomy and geodesy are involved . If you are getting the impression that this is all a highly technical subject, then you are beginning to understand that we are dealing with a highly sophisticated, technically proficient civilization that spanned the Earth and likely rivalled our own in its achievements. A primitive people they were not, and do not ever regard them as such.

While the Great Flood is central to four of these five books, it is not all that will be considered. In fact, the Great Food quickly becomes a looming background presence for everything else, except in the one book that focuses on it exclusively, A Dream of Death, The Great Flood; It’s Causes and History. Note that there are a series of geometric images appearing with the text here. These are all images that appear in the Great Pyramid (Secrets of the Hidden Palace), and, yes, there is writing in the Great Pyramid—quite a bit of it—and it speaks volumes, but all of it is written in the timeless immutable languages of mathematics and geometry. 

The Great Flood

 They had 300 years to get ready for it. In a tale told to John Greeves, Professor of Astronomy at Oxford, in 1846, his Egyptian hosts related a tale regarding the Great Pyramid, in which the Egyptian wise men of the time took measure of the heavens and learned that the Earth would be destroyed in a great cataclysmic event. The event was a certainty, but there was time, 300 years, remaining to prepare for it. One of the steps taken was to build the Great Pyramid. Greaves dismissed it all as nothing more than a romantic tale, a legend. However, much if not all of it is true, and I believe that accurate knowledge of all this survives to this day in a timeless oral tradition preserved amongst the Egyptians—an underlying theme in Lord of Eternity. 

But haven’t scientists been looking for evidence of such an event for centuries, especially an event witnessed by mankind, with nothing to show for all their efforts? Yes, but they have always assumed that the history of civilization is only five thousand years or so. An error, with widespread ramifications. There is evidence of a far older, advanced civilization, likely worldwide in its scope, that preceded the Great Flood.

The story begins with the wise men who surveyed the heavens and what they saw. In Timaeus, the Egyptian Priests relating their tale to Solon, the Greek, described it as, “…a matter of the declination of the bodies moving in the heavens around the Earth….” To shorten the story here, there are only two that are involved, Jupiter and Saturn and their respective declinations or celestial latitudes overlap once every four thousand years or so, a very rare event indeed, and one that no man alive has seen and no man will see for several thousand years to come. Jupiter is an electromagnetic monster, but it normally cannot project its power, other than its gravitational pull. Saturn is not as powerful as Jupiter, but it has vast amounts of plasma, an electrically charged substance, in its vicinity. 

 So, what happened? During one of these rare events referred to above, Jupiter captured Saturn’s plasma, and thus was able to project its electromagnetic power far beyond its normal range, which directly affected the Earth.
Earth’s axis was pulled over and tilted toward Jupiter and its orbital path became significantly elongated as Jupiter exerted its influence. Every volcanic site and earthquake fault became active. After several days of this, Earth and Jupiter, which have opposing polarities, arced over, and literally Jupiter flung a massive lightning bolt at the Earth. The bolt struck the oceans, flashing them to steam almost instantly, The Earth was enveloped in cloud cover which continued to build and build. And then it rained and it rained, while in the higher altitudes and latitudes, it snowed continuously and heavily for months on end. And then…read the Book! 

Is there evidence for this? In addition to A Dream of Death, The Great Flood, its Causes and History, there is Timaeus, certain geometric images in the Great Pyramid that described the nature of the event (Secrets of the Great Pyramid), and the Great Sphinx at Giza, The Great Temple of Baalbek, The Teotihuacan complex, etc. The Great Sphinx marks the precise date of the event, some 25,000 years ago, but it can only be understood in conjunction with the cosmic clock that lies at its feet. The Great Pyramid

 In my ground-breaking first book, Lord of Eternity, I detailed how the stones of the King’s Chamber are arranged in such a way as to define a series of geometric figures. However, at the time, I couldn’t detect any remarkable message from them. This all changed when I found yet another figure in them that changed everything. (Secrets of the Great Pyramid.) With this figure all manner of additional geometric figure can be derived and then all of them can be arranged in such a fashion as to convey the most extraordinary messages of the nature of God, the foundations of creation, and, as noted earlier, the nature of the event that caused the Great Flood. The similarity of these messages to Timaeus is readily apparent and both complement one another. Moreover, there is also a remarkable similarity to the geometric images in the King’s Chamber to the references to geometric figures in one of the oldest known versions of the Book of the Dead. Could the Great Pyramid have been built to document all that the people of its time believed and held holy, knowing that much, if not all life on Earth would be destroyed? 

Virtually everything about the Earth can be ascertained from the stones of the Pyramid. Its shape, dimensions, orientation, dimensions of time governing its motions, etc. It is virtually a scale model of the Earth; and, it also details Earth’s relationship with the Sun.  

 

The Step Pyramid Complex of Saqqara

Of all of the many structures from antiquity, when it was excavated in the early 20th century it elicited much excitement and great confusion. Excitement because many incredibly interesting artifacts and details were discovered; great confusion because much of what was unearthed had no parallels in early Egyptian dynastic history, either earlier or later. And after nearly a century nothing really has changed in this respect.

The commonly advanced theory is that the Complex was one of the earliest and crudest efforts at large scale pyramid complex construction in Egypt, and many of the unique structures it contained were innovative, but not continued after the complex was built.  So that is where things stood at its excavation and still stand today. 

However, It is, in fact, one of the most sophisticated structures ever built, and is a remarkably complex structure designed to track cycles of time, including the Solar Year, the Saros eclipse cycle and the Venus solar transit cycle, with incredible accuracy. Also, it provides for a very precise measure of the eccentricity of Earth’s elliptical orbit, records of past lunar eclipse series, records of active lunar eclipse series and precise details of their observable details and predictions of future eclipse events. And there is a distinct possibility that the Jupiter-Saturn occultations (The Great Flood was one of these events) were tracked here. So sophisticated is this structure than it is the literal equivalent of a modern-day computer. 

How old is it? An interesting question, because however old it is, the knowledge that it incorporates in its stones is many, many thousands of years older. One can only imagine learning of these cycles of time, incredibly difficult in and of itself, in that many of the observable cycles can only be witnessed once in a generation, so that generation after generation had to have added to this knowledge slowly over time and believed that it was all connected. 

Moreover, these cycles of time have their antecedents in certain numeric and geometric patterns that were laid down at the beginning of time. How was this possible? Timaeus describes these patterns, in fine detail and I have recounted them and the precise ways that the Step Pyramid Complex of Saqqara, reflects them in its stones. (Deus Ordiri Fundamentum, A Moving Image of Eternity.) However, unless you are comfortable with astronomy and metrology, these two books are difficult to read and understand.

The Khafre Pyramid of Giza

One of the three great stone pyramids of Giza, it is the least explored and analyzed of the three, although it appears to be the largest. While I believe there is much more work to be done on it to learn of its true purpose and use, I believe the fact that it precisely measures a minute of time at the latitude it is built on is fundamental to its purpose. So incredibly accurate is this measure that I believe it functioned much like a clock, much like the one at the U.S. Naval Observatory, and was used to keep time synchronous on all the clocks throughout the land. How did it work? I’m not certain and can only speculate that lasers were used to bounce light from the Pyramid to an obelisk in Heliopolis to an observatory in Letopolis and back to the Pyramid. The Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid of Dashur

As is the case with the Khafre Pyramid, these two pyramids were apparently used to keep track of time, although in the latter case they tracked cosmic time by recording the circular movements of the north celestial pole as it slowly circles around the north ecliptic pole. The north ecliptic pole is a stationary spot in the heavens that can literally be thought of as the Throne of God, as it is beyond all measures of time and Eternal. Tracking the movements of the north celestial pole is the only accurate measure for tracking precession, over the some 25,920 years that it takes to complete one circle around the north ecliptic pole. (Lord of Eternity, and Secrets of the Hidden Palace.)  The movement of the north celestial pole is the equivalent of the precession of the equinoxes around the band of the ecliptic, which also takes around 25,920 years to complete one circle. There is a difficulty in directly comparing the circle of the ecliptic to the circle of the north celestial pole; the former moves in the unusual direction for time cycles in a clockwise fashion, whereas the north celestial pole and most other cycles of time move in counterclockwise fashion. However, this difficulty can be readily resolved.

A Girl Named Alabama

 The story of a young girl coming of age in 1970’s Birmingham, Alabama, and how she and her friends and family adjust to the rapidly changing world around them. And it’s not just the changes in the wider world that beset them, but the sudden changes within the smaller world in which they live, too.  Rich and poor, black and white, all are caught up in this swirling maelstrom, as these changes are seen through the eyes of A Girl Named, Alabama. 

Alabama also comes to understand the importance of continuity of her life, as she learns of her ancestors, and the remarkable lives they lived, and of her place in this continuity. Alabama’s understanding of this continuity has a wider context, too, as she comes to appreciate the actors of the silent era, and how they practiced their art, and how it is an art form that is still relevant today.

Commanche Warriors and Butterflies

A tale of the old west, involving the younger brother of the well-known, Cynthia Ann Parker. Both were taken as young children, and both willing stayed on with their Commanche captors, eventually becoming Commanche themselves. 

 The story of Cynthia Ann is widely documented. She became the wife of Chief Peta Nocona and the mother of Chief Quanah Parker. The story of her brother, John Richard Parker, however, is vague, lacking in detail, and shrouded in legend. However, he is believed to have become a Commanche warrior and to have participated in a number of the Commanche Great Raids into Mexico. Coincidentally, these yearly raids followed the seasons and pathways of the monarch butterflies. Also, legend has it that in returning from one of these raids he took ill and was left behind with a Mexican woman to recuperate, while the rest of his tribe returned to Texas. It is rumored that he later married this woman and remained with her in Mexico.

These then—these stories shrouded in darkness, these legends of John Parker, are the subject of my story. Come! Ride with him, fight with him —a Comanche warrior of great repute and wide respect. See Mexico, see the people of Mexico, through his eyes. See the Commanche people and the deep affection they had for one another. Live with them, laugh with them, at a time when they were masters of all they could see. A time when distant, rolling thunder on the plains could signal either an approaching storm or Commanche warriors, riding hard and fast on their horses, coming to attack.
